First look and review of Ubuntu 11.10 Alpha 3 codenamed Oneiric Ocelot. This video is of a full system install and I show you the new features that have been added to Unity 3D. Just screwin' around in Linux Mint 9 (Isadora)...very fun to use and thousands of preferences and graphical settings to help you stay away from being on-task. From determining what visualization windows perform when closing, to the 3D effect of windows stacking upon spinning the Compiz Cube, to determining the opacity of less active windows, customization in Linux beats ANY other operating system on the planet. Bumptop is a free program that gives you a virtual desktop environment to work with. You can pile icons, grid icons, post sticky notes, put icons on the "walls", grow/shrink icons, and more. There's also a commercial version of the software, which is available for $39.99 (USD), which offers more features than the free version. For example, the commercial version allows you to give any folder a virtual environment as well.
