Just screwin' around in Linux Mint 9 (Isadora)...very fun to use and thousands of preferences and graphical settings to help you stay away from being on-task. From determining what visualization windows perform when closing, to the 3D effect of windows stacking upon spinning the Compiz Cube, to determining the opacity of less active windows, customization in Linux beats ANY other operating system on the planet. After about a year of waiting for Xorg to release an xorg-server that didn't lock up on my Linux machine. 1.8.1.902 was tested on my machine, and it worked! I patched it with a hacked xineramainfo performed by yours truly and set up dual twinview across 2 monitors each, then stitched it all together with xinerama. I'm sure 3D acceleration doesn't work right, but thats OK for me because I don't do gaming and don't need wobbly window effects. This machine is used for day-to-day desktop applications as well as business operations and video editing.
