Compiz Earth plugin

A plugin for compiz 0.8 branch that shows a realtime lit earth. Now on git.compiz.org ! (~satamaxx/earth) And now with shaders !! Multitextured earth with a night texture, and specular reflexion on oceans. This video also shows conky drawing the wallpaper using lua and cairo bindings. Sorry for the flickering, it's due to the capture and the way compiz handles the display, it's perfectly smooth otherwise !

[demo] 30 Beryl effects on Linux Ubuntu Edgy Eft (pt.2)

Demonstration of the 3D desktop under Linux Ubuntu Edgy Eft 6.1.0. The demo features a total of 30 effects, but there are plenty more! Part 1: Minimize effect "Beam up" Minimize effect "Burn" Minimize effect "Curved folds" Minimize effect "Dream" Minimize effect "Fade" Minimize effect "Horizontal folds" Minimize effect "Magic Lamp1" Minimize effect "Magic Lamp2" Minimize effect "Sidekick" Minimize effect "Zoom" Inversing color of the screen Inversing color of the current window Taking a screenshot Wobbly windows Note: Many of these effects might be seen as pure "eye candy". However, some of them like the scaling function (which is the linux adequate of MacOS's Exposé function) will speed up your everyday work. Go to beryl-project.org for more info.
