Retro Review: PowerBook 160 from 1992

The PowerBook 160 was Apple's second generation at laptops. This computer revolutionized the way we compute today. Running Mac OS 7.1 with a greyscale display, this thing is old tech now, but was was it like back in 1992? I picked this up for about $40 including shipping off of eBay. They're kinda a hit or miss, so if you want one, keep your eyes peeled. Thanks for watching! Yellow Dog Linux on a Clamshell Apple iBook G3 466mHz.

Poor iBook. First it was made go to 10.4, then it had to become a Linux machine. This is Yellow Dog. I'm a complete Linux Newbie, but it's done everything I needed to do so far. Install was from 6 CDs.

How to get an ancient iBook ready to install Fedora.

Copyright 2011, Joel Matthew Rees Entirely my own composition. Well, the visual effects are from Apple's iMovie, and the instruments are from Apple's Garage Band.. The song, I'm calling "My Happy Robots", I guess. Otherwise, there may be some confusion with a group/record label that has already taken the name, "Happy Robots". I wrote the song last year, finally decided to put it together with some pictures that I had intended for a how-to on installing Fedora on the clamshell iBooks. No time right now for making up a story about robots that make things and people that break things, and learning how to use Blender and Cinelerra (or whatever) to illustrate it.
