Just screwin' around in Linux Mint 9 (Isadora)...very fun to use and thousands of preferences and graphical settings to help you stay away from being on-task. From determining what visualization windows perform when closing, to the 3D effect of windows stacking upon spinning the Compiz Cube, to determining the opacity of less active windows, customization in Linux beats ANY other operating system on the planet. Peppermint OS Ice Re-Spin March 2011 Distro Review
Peppermint OS is a Minimal Linux Distro designed around Cloud / Web based application use and getting you on the Internet as quickly as possible. Review of the Ice Re-Spin which was released in March 2011. Default browser is Google Chromium, it includes is an app called Ice which allows you to create Site Specific Browsers (similar to Mozilla Prism) with Chromium. It has a fast bootup time, and comes preinstalled with a variety of web based apps including Google Docs, Google Mail, Dropbox, and Pixlr for online Image Editing. Peppermint OS Ice uses LXDE Desktop Environment and is based on Ubuntu Lucid Lynx and Mint 9 Isadora. It has an updated kernel - 2.6.35 Website: http://peppermintos.com/ Review done in Virtualbox v4.04 and in-keeping with a Minimal system I reduced resources down to one CPU and 1Gb RAM.
