Setting up a sandbox in VMWare to run suspicious files
This video shows you how to set up a Sandbox in VMware 6.5.1 to test out suspicious files A Sandbox allows an application to run without interacting with the host machine , therefore if the file is viral in nature , it is unable to infect the host machine. A practical use of this would be to run Key Generators which are functional but binded with viruses. The sandbox can always be reverted to its original form via VMWare's Snapshot utility , as shown in the video. This video goes through the creation and installation of the Virtual Machine , and also demonstrates how to use one. (not forgetting how to restore the clean machine when done) Stuff you might need: MicroXP : http://www.mediafire.com/?05rne0ynnwx VMWare Workstation: http://www.vmware.com/products/ws/ THIS VIDEO HAS NO AUDIO WITH IT. THANK YOU FOR WATCHING!
