Ubuntu Desktop: Multimedia Area
Xubuntu 9.10 installation, customized to create a full-screen unified multimedia desktop, without sacrificing access to system information or at a loss of system resources. (My settings in Compiz, however, do use more resources than needed) The UI is in full 3D, this is being managed by my video card, saving the CPU from the terrors of trying to render all of that out. Being a 3D desktop environment, many windows, effects, and desktops can all be ran at once and cause little to no CPU utilization. Many programs were used to create this look and feel. The names of each application, and its location to download it, can be found below.
