What is new in KDE 4.7 RC1 ? - Faster KWin Manager - New shadow system - New snap borders - Minimize the visual clutter in Dolphin file manager - Navigation on top in Kickoff menu - Calendar now have holidays displayed in it - Oxygen theme and Oxygen GTK refinements - Some modifications in System Settings - .... Retro Review: PowerBook 160 from 1992
The PowerBook 160 was Apple's second generation at laptops. This computer revolutionized the way we compute today. Running Mac OS 7.1 with a greyscale display, this thing is old tech now, but was was it like back in 1992? I picked this up for about $40 including shipping off of eBay. Ubuntu 10.10 Maverick Meerkat - What's New?
So Ubuntu 10.10 arrived and here's some of the new stuff, that you can find in the OS. Not much has changed since 10.04 - The 2 main themes: Radiance and Ambiance, are a bit more tweaked. A cool new font makes it all more exciting. A new menu player for Rythmbox and we can't forget new new softwarecenter. You get the same applications, as in 10.04. Ubuntu Software Center: The thing about the new Software center, is that Canonical wants to make an AppStore like Apple did. You can purchase many apps in the future, however you can only purchase one app at the moment. Subscribe for more Ubuntu videos.
